Please be aware that after this Saturday the 19th of December the city will not have anyone to man the landfill until Spring.
The Common Council voted last night on the 2021 budget eliminating the reduced dump pass program on Saturdays beginning January 1, 2021. The city normally does not open the compost area in the winter.
Those that have garbage, that would normally use the reduced dump pass, can still dispose of that garbage at the county transfer station. The county transfer station is located at the city landfill on Canal Street. Dumping will be at county’s rate and during their normal hours of operation that include Saturday’s
